5052 Aluminium Sheet

5052 alloyed aluminum sheet is a widely used Al-Mg series alloy sheet, valued for its excellent corrosion resistance and balanced performance.

Core Characteristics

Superior corrosion resistance: Excels in resisting seawater, industrial chemicals and atmospheric erosion, ideal for outdoor and marine use.

Excellent formability: Easy to deep draw, bend, stamp and weld, suitable for complex shapes.

Good weldability: Compatible with argon arc welding, resistance welding and other common methods, with stable joint performance.

Moderate strength: Lower strength than 6082 or 7075, but sufficient for non-high-stress applications.

Lightweight & non-magnetic: Maintains portability while avoiding magnetic interference.

Key Mechanical Properties

Tensile strength: 170-290MPa (varies by temper).

Yield strength: 70-240MPa (good load-bearing capacity for general use).

Elongation: ≥ 15% (excellent ductility for forming processes).

Common tempers: O (annealed, maximum ductility), H32 (strain-hardened + stabilized), H34 (higher strength than H32), H112 (as-fabricated, for thick sheets).

6-Series Aluminum Alloys & Selection Guide

Common 6series aluminum sheets include 6061, 6063, 6082, 6101, 6060.6061 is the most widely used, with high strength, good weldability, and corrosion resistance, suitable for structural parts, profiles, machinery, and automotive components.6063 features excellent extrudability and surface finish, mainly used for architectural profiles, doors, windows, and decorative parts.6082 has higher strength than 6061, applied to heavyduty structural parts.6101 & 6060 are for highsurfacequality profiles.

Choose by demand:Select 6061 for general structural strength; 6063 for extrusion and appearance; 6082 for heavy load; and others for special surface or conductivity requirements.
